GGI Scholarship Application 2023-24 Academic Year

Eligibility Requirements:

Eligibility:
The Galardi Group, Inc. scholarship is available to students who are current Wienerschnitzel Service Center, franchisee or crew members (referred to as “Wienerschnitzel Members” collectively throughout the application) or immediate family members of Wienerschnitzel. This scholarship is open to Wienerschnitzel Members nationwide.

Applicant qualifications:
To qualify for a Galardi Group, Inc. scholarship the applicant must:


  • Be a current Wienerschnitzel Member with at least one year of employment with Wienerschnitzel; or immediate family member of a Wienerschnitzel Member who has at least one year of employment at Wienerschnitzel
    • Immediate family member is limited to spouse/domestic partner, child/dependent, or grandchild  
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours at an accredited postsecondary school
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be enrolled or will enroll in two consecutive semesters or terms
  • Have completed at least one grading term of a postsecondary program or be a high school senior/GED holder going to a postsecondary school.
  • This scholarship is open to Wienerschnitzel Members nationwide.

Required documentation to be submitted with your signed application:


  • An essay
  • A copy of the applicant’s program curriculum from a college catalog or website with the major or degree, the number of credit hours and all degree requirements shown.
  • A high school, GED or college transcript. Transcripts do not have to be a sealed official copy, but must be from the school.
  • Proof of at least one year and current employment at Wienerschnitzel (for you or immediate family member). Proof must be given in the form of a scanned letter from your Wienerschnitzel supervisor or Wienerschnitzel franchisee verifying employment. Do not send copies of a W-2. 
  • One letter of recommendation from a Wienerschnitzel supervisor, Wienerschnitzel franchisee, faculty member, teacher or counselor.
Deadline:
The application deadline is May 1, 2023. All materials must uploaded or mailed and postmarked by the deadline date.

Awards
Scholarship awards are paid to the student in two payments. The first half of the scholarship for the fall semester is paid in early September once proof of enrollment with nine or more credit hours, a high-resolution picture, thank-you(s) and student & scholarship profile forms are received. The second half for the winter/spring semester is paid once proof of enrollment with nine or more credit hours and proof of good standing with the college are received. Additionally, in order to claim the second half scholarship check, the applicant or applicant's family member must still be employed with GGI during the time they claim the second half check. Otherwise, the scholar is considered ineligible.



The Galardi Group, Inc. scholarships are competitive and awarded to qualified applicants nationwide based on an application, an essay, previous work/volunteer experience and an interview. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
