Brief Description:

The California Restaurant Foundation (CRF) is proud to present the 2026/2027 Galardi Group, Inc. scholarship application. Galardi Group, Inc. operates and franchises Wienerschnitzel restaurants as well as Tastee Freez and Hamburger Stand (referred to as “Wienerschnitzel” collectively throughout the application).

Description:

Deadline:
The application deadline is May 1, 2026. All materials must be uploaded or mailed and postmarked by the deadline date.

Scholarship Awards:
Awards are issued to the student in two installments. The first half of the scholarship for the fall semester will be distributed in early September after the following items are received: proof of enrollment with nine (9) credit hours, a high-resolution photo, thank-you note(s), and completed student and scholarship profile forms.

The second half of the scholarship for the winter/spring semester will be distributed after proof of enrollment in at least nine (9) credit hours and verification of good academic standing with the college are received. To remain eligible for the second installment, the applicant or the applicant’s qualifying family member must be actively employed with Galardi Group Inc. at the time the second payment is issued. Failure to meet this requirement will result in ineligibility for Galardi Group Inc. scholarships are competitive and awarded to qualified applicants nationwide based on the completed application, essay, prior work and/or volunteer experience, and interview. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Recipients who graduate prior to the completion of the academic term are required to notify the Scholarship Panel in writing. The second disbursement of funds will not be issued if enrollment is no longer required.

Disqualification Criteria:
Applicants may be disqualified from scholarship consideration if they submit incomplete, outdated, misleading, or false information as part of the application process. This includes providing prior academic, employment, or personal information that is inaccurate or not current.
All information submitted must be truthful and reflective of the applicant’s current status. Any misrepresentation may result in removal from consideration or revocation of an awarded scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements:

Eligibility:
The Galardi Group, Inc. scholarship is available to enrolled students who are currently working in a Wienerschnitzel Service Center, a franchisee or crew members (referred to as “Wienerschnitzel Members” collectively throughout the application) or immediate family members of Wienerschnitzel or Galardi Group Inc. This scholarship is open to all Wienerschnitzel Members nationwide.

Applicant qualifications:
To qualify for a Galardi Group, Inc. scholarship the applicant must:

Be a current Wienerschnitzel Member with at least one year of employment with Wienerschnitzel; or immediate family member of a Wienerschnitzel Member who has at least one year of employment at Wienerschnitzel

Immediate family member is limited to spouse/domestic partner, child/dependent, or grandchild, niece or nephew.

Be enrolled, or plan to enroll, in two consecutive semesters or academic terms
Applicants who plan to graduate early and will not be enrolled for the second half of the academic year must disclose this on their application.
Be enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours per term for undergraduate students or meet the institution’s full-time enrollment requirement for graduate programs, at an accredited postsecondary institution.
Be enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours at an accredited postsecondary institution
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
Be a high school senior/GED recipient planning to enroll, or a current student who has completed at least one graded term at an accredited postsecondary institution.
Be currently enrolled in, or accepted for enrollment in, an accredited undergraduate or Master’s degree program at a postsecondary institution.
This scholarship is open to all Wienerschnitzel Members and Galardi Group Inc., nationwide.

Required documentation to be submitted with your signed application:

An essay
A copy of the applicant’s program curriculum from a college catalog or website with the major or degree, the number of credit hours and all degree requirements shown.
A high school, GED or college transcript. Transcripts do not have to be a sealed official copy, but must be from the school.
Proof of at least one year and current employment at Wienerschnitzel (for you or immediate family member). Proof must be given in the form of a scanned letter from your Wienerschnitzel supervisor or Wienerschnitzel franchisee verifying employment. Do not send copies of a W-2.
One letter of recommendation from a Wienerschnitzel supervisor, Wienerschnitzel franchisee, faculty member, teacher or counselor.
